The swan pattern in the lantern is derived from the distinctive ancient woven fabric pattern and popular in the Thai Yuan or urban people in Chiang Mai since the past. it indicates the way of life, arts, traditions and good culture of Chiang Mai that has been traced from the past to the present.
The swan pattern appears on the Tin Jok cloth of the ladies in the Lanna court, such as the Tin Jok cloth of the royal consort Chao Dara Rasmi Prachaya of King Chulalongkorn, Rama Vwhowore this pattern.
