The origin of the name of the fabric pattern Samutra Sumamarn was inspired by the journey of sea poison tree. The growth path of the sea poison tree was found to spread around the wetlands or the seaside. When growing from flowers to become the fruit of the sea, if the fruit is mature, it will fall down and flow along the river and growing in other areas, thriving through the coastal waters which is the area of Phra Samut Thewa.
