Kab Bua cloth is the name of cloth in ancient Isan literature which has a proper meaning consistent with the name of Ubon Ratchathani Province. When looking at the meaning of "Kab" according to the dictionary, it is described as "the outer shell of a fruit or flower and of some trees which can be peeled off in layers such as coconut husks, betel nut husks, and banana husks. something like that.” In the context of this dictionary description, " Kab of lotus flower" means the outer shell of the lotus flower. The lotus petals are not wrapped around the lotus pollen that is in the inner layer. Therefore, the lotus flower petals are the outermost lotus petals that are almost withered.
